What this website does not do

This website uses no analytics or tracking. Fonts, images, styles and weather data come from this site.

Your account

For your customer account we store your e-mail address, your password (only as a salted hash, never in readable form) and the products you have purchased. When you log in, the site sets one cookie (fsgrw_session) that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days or until you log out. It is needed for the login and is used for nothing else. Without logging in, the site sets no cookies.

Sign-up and e-mails

When you sign up, we send you one e-mail with a link to confirm your address. Accounts that are not confirmed within 7 days are deleted. We only send e-mails about your account and your purchases. [E-mail service provider, once chosen.]

The “I am human” check on the sign-up page runs entirely in your browser and on this server: your computer solves a small calculation that is cheap for one person but expensive for automated sign-ups. No third-party service is involved and no cookie is set.

Satellite images on the weather map

The weather map loads its satellite background from NASA's Global Imagery Browse Services (GIBS, gibs.earthdata.nasa.gov). For this, your browser connects to NASA's servers, which receive your IP address and the usual request data. No other page of this site does this.
